Penstemon 'Black Bird'

Penstemon 'Black Bird' is a striking perennial known for its deep, velvety purple-black flowers that bloom profusely from late spring through autumn. Planting Information:

Prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soils.

Plant in full sun to partial shade. More Sun will encourage the best flower production and maintain the deep coloration of the blooms.

Once established, Penstemon 'Black Bird' is relatively drought-tolerant.

Care Tips: Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering throughout the season. Cut back the stems in winter or early spring to encourage fresh new growth. Clumps can be divided every few years in spring to keep plants vigorous and healthy.
